Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do boarding?

Not at this time

How much does a lesson cost?

Our lessons start at 50$

Is my (_enter any age_)year old child old enough to ride?

Yes, your child is old enough to ride. Children have been learning to ride horses since birth from the dawn of time. However, that does not mean your child will be able to control, saddle, groom, etc the horses like an older child might be learning. Younger children instead learn how to be safe and comfortable around horses. They learn how to behave, be respectful, and understand living around horses.

How long are the lessons?

Lessons range from 60-90 mins and includes the tacking up and untacking process.

What will be taught during the lessons?

Basic horsemanship. How to be an effective rider. All of our students start out bareback. Some lessons may take place on the ground depending on the level of the student. If you want to learn to ground drive, start a young horse, etc, We can accomodate that as well.

What was that about bareback?

Trust me. The best way to start is to take it all away. Learn the VERY basics and then learn the tools of nuance.

...and don't worry, I have a bareback pad to make it a little more comfortable

What if I and/or my child falls off?

That is going to happen. There are no two ways around it. Eventually, everyone falls off. Horses are big animals and it is a dangerous sport. We wear helmets and our boots and try to be as safe as possible, but eventually the non-consensual & ungraceful dismount happens to everyone. Every. Single. Person. Falls. Off. Eventually.

As long as we are (mostly) in one piece we get right back on and try again.

Ok fine, I'll start bareback, how do I book a lesson?

send me a message on our facebookpage, email me, or text.
